Official Terms and Conditions

1. ELIGIBILITY: The contests are only offered to legal residents of the United States of America and in countries where contests requiring pay-to-enter are not prohibited or unlawful by local law. All entries must be submitted by persons aged 18 years or older, or over the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which he or she resides. Entries created by minors will be accepted into contests if the entry is submitted with the legal guardian’s permission, and the submission fee is paid by the same legal guardian; if prizes are won by the minor, they will be awarded to the legal guardian. Employees, contracted labor, and directors of Blank Art Space and their immediate family (including the following: siblings, spouses, children and parents of spouses, and members of the same household) are not eligible to enter into any contest; this also includes Blank Art Space’s affiliates, subsidiaries, promotion and advertising agencies.

2. CONTEST INFORMATION: Specific details of individual contests held by Blank Art Space, such as information on submission instructions, fees, prizes, deadlines, etc., exist on each contest’s submission page. 3. ENTRY ORIGINALITY: Contest entrants vindicate that their entries are original works created by the person listed in the submission form; and the entries do not infringe upon any copyrights, common law literary property, or third party proprietary rights. Subject matter of any submitted work that is libel, invasive of privacy, or unlawful in any other form, is prohibited. Blank Art Space reserves the right to verify artwork legitimacy before and after prizes are awarded.

4. PRIZES: Winners will be notified by phone or e-mail at Blank Art Space’s sole discretion. Returned or undeliverable prize notification or other required documentation will result in disqualification of entrant, which then an alternate winner will be selected. Winners may be required to complete a liability release, a publicity release, or affidavit of eligibility, and must be returned within the time period that is stated when winners are notified, otherwise an alternate winner will be selected. The odds of winning a contest is determined by the number of entries and the quality of entries coordinating with the guidelines of the contest. All expenses related to acceptance of prizes, taxes on prizes, use of prizes, and not specified are the responsibility of the winner. Winners that receive prizes valued at $600.00 or more defined as a citizen or taxpayer of the United States will be issued an IRS 1099 Form for the prize value, or other IRS forms depending on the winner’s taxpaying status and citizenship.

5. GENERAL: All entrants agree to the following by participating in any contest: to these terms and conditions and decisions of Blank Art Space and the judges; and to release, hold harmless, and discharge Blank Art Space and its agents from any and all injuries, liability, damages, and losses of any kind that result from participating in any contest; and the use, misuse, and acceptance of a prize including, but not limited to, personal injury, property damage, and death. Blank Art Space and its agents are not responsible for: electronic, hardware or software program, Internet, network, computer or other technical malfunctions, difficulties, or failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, server malfunctions or by human error that occurs in the collection and processing of data; any condition that may cause any contest to be disrupted or corrupted, in which Blank Art Space reserves the right to suspend or cancel any contest; any kind of error in advertising of any contest; lost, late, illegible, incomplete, or misdirected entries or postage due mail. Each entrant is responsible for any and all expenses upon entering a contest and expenses will not be reimbursed whether or not he or she won the contest. If a contest does not reach minimum of 20 entrants by the contest deadline, the contest is canceled; each entrant from the canceled contest will have the choice of receiving an entry fee refund, or may be submitted into the following contest in which the artwork is judged based on the theme of the original contest.

6. USE OF ENTRANT INFORMATION: By participating in any contest, each entrant agrees that Blank Art Space may share his or her entry information, such as name, address, and email address, with Blank Art Space’s promotional partners. This is to contact entrants through electronic and ordinary mail about upcoming promotions, special offers, or any other promotional reason. On an entry form for a contest, an entrant may give permission, or not, to allow Blank Art Space to share his or her social media username information to promote the user’s artwork using social media.

7. WINNER LIST: To receive a winners list for any contest, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Blank Art Space, 101 S Palafox Place, Pensacola, FL 32591. Cite the specific contest for the list of winners you are requesting.

8. CAUTION: Any attempt to damage any online site or the operation of any promotion may be a violation civil and criminal laws. Should an attempt be made, Blank Art Space and affiliates reserve the right, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to seek damages from any such person. Any entry via the Internet must be made by the entrant only on the authorized Blank Art Space website. Entries may not be made by other individuals or any entity, unless the entrant is the parental guardian of a minor, in which the minor is the creator. Entries may not originate at any other Internet website, including commercial contest subscriptions and/or entering service websites. Any winner who entered by the methods previously described is disqualified, which an alternate winner will be selected. The use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Judges’ decisions of any contest are final and binding.
